Race 1

Larry says, "A moderate Class 5 mile to open the meeting and while it always pays to watch the tote on the day for any stable support, YULONG SHENG LONG looks the horse to beat and happy to have him as the standout selection. True, the 6YO hasn't set the world alight in Singapore since arriving as a three-time winner (all over the mile) from Australia but he did take a while to drop from Class 3 to a suitable race (KSD Company) to win over the mile back in February. Another drop to Class 5 after some good Class 4 form suggests he is very hard to beat with heavy support likely. Of the others that keep him honest, the Stephen Gray pair of BLUE CHIP and MONTOYA should figure, while ETWAS NUES also looks due. Keep SILVER WAY safe as he could run a very cheeky race at odds and include SUN SPEAR and CLOUD SHADOW if going wider in exotics. Betting Strategy - YULONG SHENG LONG win. "

Race 2

Larry says, "A terrible race and on exposed recent form there looks only two - possibly three - with any chance whatsoever. The two horses that should fight out the finish are SUN ELIZABETH and GANGNAM CLASSIC but when you consider that between them they have only managed one win from some 60 career starts in three different countries. That is a damning statistic for punter confidence. But one of them should win this and it will be a case of whoever brings their best on the day wins. The only danger on recent form is THOTH WARRIOR who put in an improved effort last start and can win on best form with most others no hope on recent form. Betting Strategy - play with care, SUN ELIZABETH and GANGNAM CLASSIC forecast."

Race 3

Larry says, "After two moderate affairs we get a Class 4 beauty with some very progressive horses heading to the 1200m Poly start. And it may be two smart 3YO's in ROCKET STAR and DIAMOND RING who get the punters attention and both look well placed to knock in another win early in their respective careers. ROCKET STAR had four starts as a 2YO - his most recent an eye-catching late run to place in the Group 2 Golden Horseshoe - and a subsequent smart trial suggests he can win this. DIAMOND RING won very well on debut before doing the work in good Novice Company at start two and in this field from gate 4, he will be hard to run down. The dangers to the 3YO's are IMPERIUM, who rarely runs a bad race and showed first up that he wins again soon, while HUGO had excuses last start and he also wins without surprising although both horses do have wide gates to overcome. SUN RECTITUDE, SUPER WIN and ABSOLUTE MIRACLE (at odds) three to include in exotics. Betting Strategy - ROCKET STAR win."

Race 4

Larry says, "Another Class 5 raffle but again we could probably narrow the winning hopes down to two or three horses on exposed recent form. At the top of the ratings and weights is GOLDEN WIN who is first up after breaking his maiden status at his seventh career start. The now 4YO has looked very comfortable at two recent trials and can win with any luck from an awkward gate sans blinkers and tongue-tie. GROS PITON looks the only other that wins without too much of a surprise. The 5YO stood flat-footed last start and was never involved but his form prior has him hard to beat with gate 1 a bonus. Not many others appeal but DECRETO would give this a shake on best form with a positive ride the key from the wide alley, with LOOKS GOOD, ELANA OF AVALOR and DEE MAK MAK for exotics. Betting Strategy - GOLDEN WIN win."

Race 5

Larry says, "A terrific race on paper with many winning hopes but a tough one for punters for the very same reasons. In fact, with the exception of the out of form WONDERFUL PAINT, you can make a case for all the runners to play some part in what should be a busy finish with tactics playing a big part on the tricky E Course. So in a raffle where value is the key, MAJESTIC EMPRESS will win sooner than later in Class 4 over this trip and the switch to M Rodd should see him have every chance, while Duric on MR DUJARDIN also looks a good booking with a positive ride likely. WIND TRAIL picks himself on honest each-way form and MIDDLE KINGDOM should also figure prominently throughout and gets his chance with winkers added to knock in his first win in Singapore. DAZZLE GOLD is bang-in-form with three wins on the hop and LARRY is gunning for his own hat trick so has to be considered. Betting Strategy - look for value, MAJESTIC EMPRESS each-way."

Race 6

Larry says, "Another Class 5 with absolutely no depth and the highlight may well be HAPPY SAGA having his one hundredth start. But while we may raise a glass in his honour, he is out of form and may struggle with most others in this weak field. If we are to narrow the winning hopes down, PRINCE PEGASUS does look due to knock in his first win in Singapore and won't find an easier race. ON THE RAZZ was due before putting in a shocker last start and while that is obviously some concern, he goes very close if right with support likely. Given the poor field, MR ROCKWELL could be considered but he can disappoint, while the tote a good guide on ROCK ME EASY who looks hopeless on maiden form but gets blinkers added first time so could be the improver. Betting Strategy - very small win PRINCE PEGASUS."

Race 7

Larry says, "A competitive Class 3 over 1200m with plenty having good recent form in the grade. The one with upside may be LIM'S CRAFT, who has won three and only missed a place once in seven starts. The Smart Missile 4YO was slowly away from a wide gate and ran on late last start but is better drawn here and with Benny Woodworth to ride, he is the one to beat. SO YOU TOO is a 6YO who has been freshened after a runner-up effort in this class and distance; he is well weighted with a 4kg claim and his Australian form is up to this class. The Lee Freedman-trained EXCELLING won on the poly at his Singapore debut and subsequent efforts have been sound; he shows promise and will be running on. Of the rest, FILIBUSTER won on the poly in this class and distance last start and handles the turf so can be considered, while WASSERGEIST, CHARGER, RICHEBOURG and SIAM BLUE VANDA can be included in exotics. Race 8

Larry says, "A Class 4 with little depth makes it easy to isolate a couple of likely improvers that should fight it out. SIAM ROYAL ORCHID just missed in a good Class 4 field when resuming and the 4YO should be improved, drops 1kg and should be handy throughout. FIELD MARSHAL is undefeated at two career starts including a Novice over this trip last start. The 3YO rises 3kg but is a promising sort trained by Ricardo La Grange and should get a good run throughout. These are the two with upside which have take on journeymen such as HOWL and EFFORTLESS, both of whom are very competitive but find it hard to win. HOWL has placed at his past two outings and has the speed to overcome the wide gate, whilst EFFORTLESS will get back and run on when the race is all over. The field falls away after these but include MY FRIENDS and QIJI COMMANDER in exotics. Betting Strategy -forecast SIAM ROYAL ORCHID and FIELD MARSHAL."
