meeting preview for fri mar 27, 2020

Another week down, another country (or three) suspending horse racing indefinitely but Singapore racing marches on - albeit without on-course punters this Friday as Covit-19 restrictions are upgraded.

And the nine-race card looks to have something for all with some tricky Class 5 and Maidens early and some very competitive racing late with a Class 3 Poly mile (race 7) the pick of the bunch.

But while YAYA PAPAYA has the best recent form on paper - he has won his last two races - the 5YO is up in grade and faces some handy Class 3 horses including GLASGOW who looks due to show his best.

The 5YO had an unsuccessful but promising 4YO Group campaign last season and with a two runs under his belt this preparation, he should be ready to show his best and this race is very suitable with head-gear added for good measure.

He won't have it all his own way though with WOLF WARRIOR showing last start why he is Poly specialist and the step up to the mile has him under serious consideration, while INHERIT and LUCK OF MASTER are both in form and keep them all honest.

However, MINISTER might just be better than them all.

The former UK-galloper bit off more than he could chew when taking on Group Company at his Singapore debut but it may pay to forget he went around in the Silver Bowl, as this race is easier and he can win on his form before arrival with some very nice recent trials under his belt.

Elsewhere on the card, it may pay to follow Vlad Duric early as WELL DESERVED can win down in grade in race 1 and SPORTSCASTER will give a sight in race 2.

Best Bets: (MADE IN RUSSIA race 8, win), (MINISTER race 7, value), and (CHALAZA race 9, value).

Bankers for Jackpots: Race 6 (2, 3, 7 and 9), race 7 (2, 4, 6, 7 and 8), race 8 (1, 2, 4 and 7), race 9 (1, 2, 4 and 5).

Click on the race details for the complete race card and the horse name for its history.

Good luck and see you in the forum!
