very enthused

meeting preview for sun may 20, 2018

A big day at Kranji with full fields making for competitive racing from the first to the lucky last.

It's a mixed surface meeting and while the E Course Turf will suit on-pace runners, the Poly will make for fairer racing and in the case of the two divisions of Kranji Stakes B's over 1000m, some top quality all-weather sprinting.

AL GREEN was run over by a subsequent Group winner in Distinctive Darci over this trip in Kranji Stakes A company last start and looks hard to beat in race 5.

The Argentinean-bred 5YO has two wins on the Poly on his local CV and from gate 4 with Glen Boss to ride, he should make all the running in the weaker of the two Kranji Stakes B divisions.

Division 1 (race 8) has more depth but the cream in SKYWALK will hopefully rise to the top.

The 4YO will find this easier than his first up run in Group company and while drawn wide in 13, he gets the services of V Duric and a forward run is expected.

He won't get it all his own way though with two very progressive and exciting Poly sprinters in KRATOS and MOKASTAR both coming off good last start wins and DARC BOUNTY a good value option back on the Poly with a handy 2kg claim.

Best Bets: (AL GREEN race 5, win), (ENTHUSE race 9, win) and (SAINT LINCOLN race 6, value).

Bankers for Jackpots: Race 7 (1, 4, 7 and 10), race 8 (1, 4, 9 and 11), race 9 (1, 2, 5 and 7) and race 10 (1, 4 and 7).
